About This Activity
This tour will give you chance to explore visit Biblical sites and follow the footsteps of St. Paul. This Christian pilgrimage tour retraces his travels and ministries, from his birthplace in Eastern Turkey to the places throughout the country that he visited, explaining the religious, biblical and social context of his life.
Highlights: Cappadocia, Tarsus, Anaakya, Animur, Aspendos, Perge, Pergamon, Smyrna, Sardes, Philadelphia, Hierapolis, Laodiceia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Virgin Mary’s House, Iznik ( Nicea ).
Visit the ancient churches at Thyatira and Smyrna, whose faithful were praised by St Paul.
Explore the church ruins, Acropolis and healing center at Pergamon.
Discover the churches at Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea,
Visit Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
See where St Paul preached at UNESCO-listed Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary.

What to Expect
Day 1 - Fly to Cappadocia and North/Red Tour
Pick up from your hotel in Istanbul and transfer to Istanbul airport. Fly to Cappadocia. You will be picked up from the airport to transfer to Cappadocia. Tour start from Devrent valley ( Imagination Valley), spectacular fairy chimneys and beautiful landscapes. After Devrent Valley, we will visit Pasabag( known as monk valley) where double and triple headed rock formation. Lunch at Avanos, famous for pottery and Red river ( Kızılırmak). After lunch, you will visit Goreme Open Air Museum which heart of Cappadocia. Goreme open air museum famous for wall painting dates back to 10th century describing the life of Jesus Christ and monks. The last stop will be Uchisar castle, natural and one of the biggest mass fairy chimney of the region. After the tour transfer to hotel. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 2 – South/Green Tour
Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and tour start from Derinkuyu underground city, the deepest underground city of the region. After Derinkuyu, you will explore Ihlara valley and Melendez river. Ihlara is famous hiking place of the region. After 4 km hiking lunch over Melendiz river. You will taste local foods, cooked by local peoples. The last place is Selime cathedral, wonderful and huge fairy chimney. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 3 – Drive to Tarsus
Breakfast served at the hotel . Depart from the hotel and drive to Tarsus, birthplace of St. Paul. See St. Paul's Well, Cleopatra's Gate and the ancient city. It was near here that a Great Fish "vomited out Jonas upon the dry land" Next to Adana for dinner and Overnight stay in Antakya.
Day 4 – Antakya (Antioch) Tour
Breakfast served at the hotel .Full day excursion to Antakya (Antioch). Here Jesus' followers were first called Christians (Acts 11:26) Peter, Paul and also Barnabas preached here. Visit St. Peter's Grotto and the exquisite Mosaic Museum. View the old city of Iskenderun before beginning the return drive to Mersin for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 – Drive along the Mediterranean Shoreline
Breakfast served at the hotel . Depart westward along the Mediterranean shoreline, a famous coastal road. Take a lunch break in Anamur. See City of the Monophystie Archbishop of Seleucia. Overnight in Alanya.
Day 6 - Drive to Side. Antalya Tour ( Perge and Aspendos)
Breakfast served at the hotel . Continue to the ancient city of Side, the old port where Paul, Barnabas and Mark landed during their missionary journeys. Later they sailed from here to ANTIOCH. Than visit PERGE, where St. Paul preached when arriving from Cyprus (Acts 13-14), and to ASPENDOS with its magnificent theater. Next drive to Antalya and overnight stay.
Day 7 - Drive to Laodicea and Hierapolis
Breakfast served at the hotel . Proceed to LAODICEA which was condemned by St. John in Revelation Acts (4:15). Drive to HIERAPOLIS, now called Pamukkale, St. Philip was martyred here in 1st AD. Walk the Necropolis and famous Avenue of Tombs. Overnight stay in Pamukkale.
Day 8 - Drive to Lydia and continue to Kusadasi
Breakfast served at the hotel . Visit one of the seven churches of the Apocalypse and the remains of the Cathedral. Continue to in Alasehir, the remains of a church. Visit , capital of the ancient LYDIA with temple of the CYBELE & DIANA, which became later a church, see the royal road. Continue to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Selcuk.
Day 9 - Ephesus Tour
Breakfast served at the hotel . Drive to Selcuk. Visit the monastery of St. John and EPHESUS , the best preserved city in the world. See the Library of Celsus, a Stadium where Paul Preached (Acts 19), and the Theatre. Return to hotel. Overnight in Selcuk.
Day 10 - Smyrna and Pergamum Tour.
Breakfast served at the hotel . This morning take a beautiful drive to Izmir (ancient SMYRNA), After visiting the St. Policarp church in Izmir , continue to in Akhisar , ancient commercial place in connection with TROY & SARDES. and visit Bergama(Pergamum) , the Acropolis, high above the plain. See the pagan Temples and Altar of Zeus.Overnight in Pergamum.
Day 11 - Iznik ( Nicea ) Tour and drive to Istanbul.
Breakfast served at the hotel . After breakfast long drive to Istanbul through Iznik (Nicea) where the Nicean Creed was formed. Depart for Istanbul. Overnight Istanbul.
Day 12 - Departure to Istanbul Airport. End of Service.
